Letter books (1855-1875, 1886) of this St. Paul (Minn.) banker concerning the business of his private bank until its failure in 1858, and thereafter relating to his experiments in fruit culture; and financial records, including account books of a (Wisconsin?) store (1846-1849), personal account books (1853-1865), bank records (1853-1859), and accounts for fruits and vegetables evidently sold by Smith.
